JEE Main 2017 Online Application Procedure – Apply Now!


JEE Main 2017 Paper I will be held in both online and offline modes. JEE Main 2017 Application form will be available tentatively between November and December 2016. The application form will be available online and can be accessed on the official portal of JEE Mains only. Students need to fill the application form correctly with every detail, upload latest photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression in JPEG format and click on the submit button.

JEE Main 2017 Application Procedure:


It is noticed that JEE aspirants is often confused with the exact application process of JEE Main. Hence, we have elaborated the step-by-step guidelines on filling the form.

Step 1:   Filling JEE Mains 2017 Application Form

  • Select whether you are applying for Paper 1, Paper 2 or both.
  • Carefully enter personal information like your name, parent’s name, state of eligibility (means state from where you have completed your Class 11 and 12th), category, date of birth and nationality.
  • Carefully enter your academic details such as Passing Year, Marks and Percentage Obtained, Board Name, Roll Number of Class 12th, School Name and so on.
  • Carefully fill the communication address.
  • Choose a password which is both strong and secure.
  • Upon filling the application form, you will be asked to review the details again and confirm the same. Once you confirm the details, application number will be generated for the form submitted.

Step 2:   Upload Scanned JPEG Images

  • The scanned images of photographs, thumb impression and signature should in JPG/JPEG format only.
  • Kindly refer the document specification subhead (below) to know the size and image dimension.
  • While uploading the photograph, signature and thumb impression, see its preview and check whether they appear correctly.
  • In case you find a problem in preview, re-upload.

Step 3:   Pay Application Fee

  • According to JEE Main payment procedure, JEE Main 2017 Application fee can be paid in three ways – using credit card, debit card or e-challan.
  • Candidates can use any one of the three modes for payment.
  • Candidates paying through e-challan must note that the fee can be deposited in cash at any branch of Syndicate Bank, Canara Bank and ICICI Bank.
  • The e-challan is generated after successful submission of the online JEE Main 2015 Application Form.

CBSE has decided to use Aadhaar for the candidates of JEE (Main) 2017, and hereby notifies the following:
  • Candidates, who are in possession of Aadhaar, shall enter Aadhaar number, name, date of birth & gender in online application for JEE(Main) 2017 for the purpose of his/her identity and authentication thereof.
  • Candidates not yet enrolled for Aadhaar, are hereby required to make application for Aadhaar enrolment in case he/she is entitled to obtain Aadhaar as per section 3 of Aadhaar Act. Such applicant may visit any Aadhaar enrolment centre (list available at www.uidai.gov.in) to get enrolled for Aadhaar.
  • In order to facilitate such candidates who are not having Aadhaar, the CBSE has specially set up facilitation centres in each city of examination for the purpose of Aadhaar enrolment. The candidates can approach such facilitation centres who will not charge any amount from any applicant for Aadhaar enrolment. The list of the facilitation centre is available on www.jeemain.nic.in. These candidates who have enrolled for Aadhaar and have not received Aadhaar should enter 14 digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID (including slash) printed on the Aadhaar enrolment slip at the time of filling online application form for JEE(Main) 2017.
  • In case Aadhaar enrolment facility is not available at the facilitation centres, the candidates should submit a request for Aadhaar enrolment. The facilitation centre will issue a registration number to such candidates. This registration number should be entered by the candidates at the time of filling online application form for JEE(Main) 2017.

JEE Mains 2017 Exam Fees:


  • Exam fee for Paper 1 (offline) is Rs. 1000 and Rs.500 for Paper I (online).
  • Exam fee for students applying for both Paper I and Paper II will be Rs. 1800 and Rs. 1300.
